Alumni Association Fall Events
Thanksgiving Weekend was a busy time for Devon Prep’s Alumni Association, which held its annual Beef and Beer and Alumni Basketball Game on Friday, November 28. About 200 alumni attended this event.
In addition several reunions were held that weekend including the Class of 1983’s Twenty-fifth Reunion and the Class of 1988’s Twentieth Reunion.
The Alumni Basketball Game which pitted married alums vs. unmarried alums afforded a healthy competition among participants. The married alumni emerged the winners.
On Saturday morning the 18th Annual 5K Challenge took place with 130 runners and walkers. Among the participants were students, alumni, faculty members, parents and friends of Devon Prep. The race was sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Percheron Group.
Class of 1988 During their 20th Reunion celebration in Calasanctius Hall members of the Class of 1988 made a generous contribution to Devon Prep’s Endowment Fund. Headmaster Fr. James J. Shea, Sch. P. gladly accepted the check.
Class of 1983 Devon Prep’s Class of 1983 also marked their 25th anniversary with a gathering in Devon Prep’s Calasanctius Hall on Thanksgiving weekend.
