Ellen Si obtained her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Houghton College, a Master’s degree in education from SUNY Oswego, and has taught all math levels from middle school math through AP Calculus.  Her teaching experiences have included a public school in upstate New York, an international school in Japan, and two private schools in the Philadelphia area, the most recent one being Devon Prep in 2015-2016 and 2018.  Ellen receives great satisfaction when her students experience one of those “Ah ha” moments that occur in math classrooms.  Her overarching goal for her teaching is that students learn that God has created order and pattern in the world, and through the study of mathematics, she and her students can begin to discover that order and pattern.  Ellen and her husband, Larry, have four adult children and she enjoys those rare times when everyone is around the dinner table or sleeping under one roof!
