Athletics Philosophy
Devon Prep’s Athletic Program is an integral part of physical education and an intrinsic phase of the educational curriculum of the school. Our students are afforded an essential opportunity for the practice and perfection of personal and group skills which have been presented in the more formal physical education class instruction.
The Devon Prep Athletic Department seeks to develop loyalty, sportsmanship, perseverance, and leadership in each of our students. We encourage students to participate in athletics, granting each one the opportunity to continue playing his favorite sport or to try something new.
We pride ourselves on providing the opportunity for our students to compete at a high level. With more than 80% of our student body participating in at least one sport each year, with 7 Pennsylvania State Championships since 2019, and with graduates moving on to play sports at the college level each year, Devon Prep’s athletic programs have a space for those looking to participate, those looking to push themselves, and those looking to continue their playing career beyond our halls.
