The Educational Improvement Tax Credit and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit allow you to donate a tax credit – in the amount of up to 90% of your PA State Tax liability – directly to the qualifying institution of your choice (in this case, Devon Prep).
EITC funds collected by Devon Prep are used as financial aid to offset tuition for families meeting certain income requirements (per PA State Guidelines).
OSTC funds are used similarly, but the family must meet income requirements and live where their son would otherwise attend a low-achieving (per PA State Guidelines) school in order to qualify for these funds.
