Eric Shimpeno is a Technology teacher for the Middle School and High School. He has a BS in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production from Art Institutes (2011). He has always been a teacher or mentor and promoted open-minded learning for younger generations since 2000.

In 2008 he started working at Drexel University’s School of Education as an Instructional Designer. He became part of an integral design team that researched emergent tech-related innovations to utilize their functionality in the classroom. Experience in developing, designing, and gamification of learning tools is what he is passionate about; using those creative skills to craft educational video games and apps. He has written screenplays, directed, produced, sound engineered, and consulted on VFX for film and TV productions.

In supportive roles he has also participated in Devon’s Theater program and as Middle School Assistant Lacrosse coach. He is helming Devon’s inaugural eSports team in 2023 with the aspiration for challenging other high schools nationwide and the competitive potential it will unlock in the players. Esports is a market in it’s infancy with rising  exponential growth and opportunity.
