Above is an overview of the events we have throughout the year, and the philosophy behind our Parent Events and Engagement, and below is a list of parent-focused events held at Devon Prep throughout the school year! Events are set up by Parent Engagement Coordinator Jen Hardie (P’20), and the list below will be added to as events are finalized throughout the year.
We also hold regular prayer/religious events in the School Oratory:
- Moms In Prayer – Every Thursday at 8:10 AM
- Dads In Prayer – Once/month at 8:00 AM
- Weekday Mass – Daily at 7:30 AM
Parents are also welcome to join for our full-school mass, held in the Gym at 9:34 AM each B day (the end of 2nd Period/beginning of 3rd Period).

AUGUST
- Thursday the 22nd @ 6:00 PM: 9th Grade Parent Orientation Dinner/Social – Dinner and drinks served prior to the orientation meeting
- Tuesday the 27th @ 8:15 AM: Opening Mass – Parents and families are welcome to join us for Mass in the gymnasium!
SEPTEMBER
- Friday the 6th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm: Middle School Parent Social – Food and drinks served in the courtyard; students will have a party with games and pizza in the fieldhouse at the same time. Invitation forthcoming!
- Sunday the 22nd @ 10:00 am: Devon Prep Family Mass and Brunch – Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 in the gymnasium followed by a brunch. Invitation forthcoming!
OCTOBER
- Friday the 4th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm: 9th Grade Parent Social – Food and drinks served in the courtyard. Invitation forthcoming!
- Friday the 18th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm: 10TH, 11TH, & 12TH Grade Parent Social – Food and drinks served in the courtyard. Invitation forthcoming!
- Thursday the 31st @ 11:00 am: Middle School Monster Mash Party – Parents volunteer help to celebrate Halloween with a Trunk or Treat for the middle school students. Games, treats, and fun!
NOVEMBER
- Friday the 22nd @ 7:00 pm: Devon Moms Social & Advent Wreath Workshop – We’ll craft an Advent Wreath while Father Nelson explains the meaning of this tradition. Light snacks and drinks will be served.
DECEMBER
- Saturday the 14th @ 7:00 pm: Christmas at Calasanctius – Celebrate the season at our beautiful Calasanctius Mansion! Christmas Open House & Cocktail Party. Music, light fare, and cocktails. Parent only event!
- Tuesday, December 24th @ 4:00 pm: Christmas Eve Mass – Families are invited to attend Christmas Eve Mass in the gym.
FEBRUARY
- Thursday, 26th @ 6:00pm: Class of 2029 Family Dinner and Social – Our incoming & rising 9th grade families gather in Calasanctius Hall to meet and socialize together! Dinner is served.
MARCH
- TBD
APRIL
- Wednesday the 2nd @ 6:00 pm: Senior Parent Dinner and Meeting – Senior Parents gather for dinner and drinks. Dinner is followed by an information session regarding Graduation and Prom.
- Friday the 11th @ 4:00pm: Senior Parent Prom Party – Senior parents – along with their sons – are invited to campus to gather before the boys before they head to the prom. They will take pictures together, and once the boys leave campus the parents host a party in the courtyard! The senior parents organize this event, with our help.
- Monday the 28th (All Day): Annual Golf Outing – Details forthcoming!
