  • Drexel Neumann Academy
    • Drexel Neumann Academy is the only Catholic school in the city of Chester.  Serving grades Pre-K through 8, “DNA strives to foster the moral, spiritual, intellectual, cultural, emotional, social, and physical development of each student.”  Devon makes bi-weekly visits to Drexel Neumann Academy assisting in a variety of areas ranging from maintenance and improvement projects, helping out in the classrooms, but most importantly making a connection with the students.
  • Cradles to Crayons
    • “Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play.”  Devon students are given the opportunity to serve at the Cradles to Crayons warehouse in Philadelphia, PA.  Volunteer opportunities can range from sorting clothing to their standard of “quality equals dignity”, separating clothing by size, helping with deliveries to organizing school wide drives in our own community.
  • Martha’s Choice Marketplace & Community Farm
    • “Martha’s Community Farm, located in Norristown, PA, is a leading food pantry and community farm dedicated to providing fresh produce, meats, dairy, and nonperishables to low-income families in Montgomery County.”  Devon students have the opportunity to volunteer at Martha’s Community Farm numerous times a year assisting the branch of this organization that provides fresh produce to those in need.
  • Patrician Society
    • “The Patrician Society provides help for elderly people on fixed incomes, homeless persons, parents who receive public assistance while caring for children, residents of boarding homes, recently unemployed and underemployed family breadwinners and others in need.”  Devon supports this organization several times a year by organizing food drives and collections.  These efforts help provide essential resources to those in need.
  • Joy of Sox
    • The Joy of Sox mission is “to provide joy and health to those experiencing homelessness by giving them new socks.”  Our Devon volunteers typically help collect, sort and package new socks to be distributed to people experiencing homelessness. We also may assist with organizing donation drives, coordinating inventory, and preparing shipments.
  • Summer Service
    • Lewisburg, WV
      • Offered to rising seniors, this is a one week service trip in which students work hand in hand with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity in Lewisburg, WV.  Over the years, students have assisted with framing, roofing, siding, foundation and porch building.  This is an opportunity for our students to learn new skills and connect with the great community.
