The Arts program at Devon Prep encompasses opportunities for students within the realm of Art, Music and Theater. Benefits of Art Education in the curriculum include, but are not limited to higher GPA and SAT scores, stronger reading and math skills and higher levels of empathy and social tolerance.
The Visual and Sculptural Art program offers a foundational Middle School Art curriculum which is scaffolded and appropriate for their age level and cognitive development. In addition, there are multiple innovative and immersive electives in the High School.
The Music program offers the foundations of music literacy, ear training, and practical technique. Musicians are able to choose from a variety of school bands, such as vocal group, ChoralTide and instrumental groups such as Jazz band and Rock band.
The Theater program puts on two large productions every year, one being the Fall Drama and the other being the Spring Musical. These are highly immersive experiences where students get to learn the ins and outs of theater. We welcome girls from local high schools to join our productions!
